What are 2-Way and 3-Way markets?

2-Way markets offer two possible outcomes, such as a win or loss. There is no tie option.

A common example is an Over/Under Goals market, where you can bet on whether the total number of goals will be over or under a set line.

For example, you can bet on the game to have either Over or Under 2.5 Goals:

  • Over 2.5 Goals wins if there are 3 or more goals.

  • Under 2.5 Goals wins if there are 2 or fewer goals.

Some 2-Way markets use a whole-number line, such as Over/Under 2 Goals. If the final total lands exactly on that line, neither selection wins and your wager is returned.

For example, if you bet on Over 2 Goals or Under 2 Goals and exactly 2 goals are scored, your bet is deemed no action and your wager is returned. This is also known as a push.

In parlays, where there is a push, the selection would be treated as a non-starter.

3-Way markets include three possible outcomes, typically a win, a tie, or a loss.

A 3-Way market gives you three possible selections.

A common 3-Way market is Money Line, where you can bet on:

  • The home team to win.

  • A tie.

  • The away team to win.

In a standard 3-Way market, a push does not usually apply when the result lands on the exact line, because all results are covered by the available selections.

Market rules can vary by sport, competition, and event. Always check the sports rules before placing a bet. You can find these here.
